Responsibilities
Identify and engage buyers for medical and scientific research manuscripts
Sell or license manuscripts across fields such as medicine, AI in healthcare, clinical research, and biomedical sciences
Communicate manuscript value, novelty, and publication readiness to prospective buyers
Build and manage a pipeline of academic, institutional, and private research buyers
Negotiate pricing, licensing terms, and delivery timelines
Coordinate with internal teams to match buyer needs with available manuscripts
Track sales progress and report performance metrics
Qualification
Required
Background in life sciences, medicine, biotechnology, health tech, or academic publishing (formal degree or equivalent experience)
Proven ability to sell high-value, knowledge-based products or services
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and close deals
Familiarity with research manuscripts, journals, or academic workflows is a strong advantage
Preferred
Experience in academic publishing, medical sales, research consulting, or scientific business development
Existing networks within journals, universities, research institutions, labs, or healthcare organizations
Strong understanding of how scientific research is evaluated, published, or acquired
Confidence selling intellectual assets, not physical products
