Workers' Compensation Paralegal
Meshbesher and Spence LTD is seeking an experienced workers' compensation paralegal to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will provide legal support to attorneys, manage client files, and assist in trial preparation while maintaining high attention to detail and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
Providing legal support to 1-2 attorneys
Managing client files
Drafting legal pleadings, correspondence, and other documents as directed
Filing pleadings and other documents
Monitoring case schedules and filing deadlines
Managing attorney(s) schedule
Preparing discovery requests and responses
Preparing medical and wage record requests
Assisting in trial preparation
Responding to inquiries from and interacting with clients, counsel, and witnesses
Organizing and maintaining case files and documentation, electronically
Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
At least 2 years of workers' compensation experience
Ability to handle various tasks at one time
High attention to detail and accuracy
Great time management skills
Professional communication skills
Organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Desire to assume significant responsibility
Recent prior experience as a workers' compensation paralegal in a law firm setting
