Responsibilities
Apply advanced techniques in data science, machine learning, and AI to improve data center sustainability and efficiency
Translate complex datasets into actionable insights and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders
Design and execute experiments to validate hypotheses and evaluate new approaches, ensuring rigor and reproducibility
Provide strategic input on business opportunities and product enhancements based on data-driven insights
Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy and optimize models at scale
Contribute to product strategy, aligning scientific solutions with business objectives to deliver measurable impact
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive initiatives that achieve tangible business outcomes
Qualification
Required
Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year of data science experience
OR Master's degree in related field AND 3+ years of data science experience
OR Bachelor's degree in related field AND 5+ years of data science experience
OR equivalent experience
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
Preferred
Doctorate in related field AND 3+ years of data science experience
OR Master's degree AND 5+ years
OR Bachelor's degree AND 7+ years
OR equivalent experience
Experience with large-scale telemetry systems, data collection, processing, and analytics
Expertise in Exploratory Data Analysis, Inference, Predictive Modeling (Regression, Classification), Time Series Analysis, and Machine Learning (SVMs, Gradient Boosted Trees, Neural Networks, CNNs)
Strong foundation in applied statistics and mathematics with ability to apply advanced analytical techniques to solve complex problems
4+ years of experience applying statistical techniques (e.g., experimentation, statistical modeling)
2+ years of customer-facing, project-delivery experience
Proficiency with Spark and Python
