Stanford Law School is seeking applicants for its 2026-2027 Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Center for Law and the Biosciences. The fellowship aims to support individuals pursuing research on legal and social issues related to advances in the biosciences, particularly in genetics and neuroscience, while also engaging in community activities within the law school.

Responsibilities
Conduct research in the dynamic environment of Stanford Law School
Dedicate most of their time to pursuing their proposed research projects
Organize and implement activities of the Center, including the annual BioLawLapalooza conference, the Center’s workshop series, and the lunch speaker series
Contribute to the Center’s blog
Attend weekly faculty lunch seminars and participate in activities with other fellows at Stanford Law School
Qualification
Required
Applicants should have a law degree (JD or foreign equivalent) or other doctoral-level degree (MD, PhD) in a relevant area
Demonstrated academic merit and potential
Intellectual strength of their research proposals
Preferred
A law degree is a substantial advantage, but is not a requirement
