Purchasing Coordinator

Responsibilities
Oversee the onboarding process for new vendors, ensuring all profiles are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Provide guidance to vendors on navigating the portal, completing required forms, and addressing inquiries regarding documentation such as tax forms, insurance certificates, and banking details
Maintain accurate and compliant vendor records, ensuring they meet company policies and regulatory requirements
Conduct thorough risk assessments for vendors, escalating cases flagged as high-risk to the appropriate teams
Act as a liaison between Procurement, Finance, and Compliance teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination
Deliver exceptional support and clear communication to vendors to foster a positive onboarding experience
Monitor purchasing activities to align with organizational standards and goals
Collaborate with internal teams to address any discrepancies or issues related to vendor onboarding and purchasing functions
Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles, with a focus on building strong relationships
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with vendors and internal teams
Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in vendor records and compliance
Familiarity with purchasing activities, including handling purchase orders and managing materials
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities efficiently
Proficiency in navigating vendor management systems and related portals
Prior experience in procurement or purchasing functions is highly desirable
Knowledge of compliance regulations and risk assessment processes is a plus
Qualification
Required
Detail-oriented
Experience in customer-facing roles, with a focus on building strong relationships
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with vendors and internal teams
Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in vendor records and compliance
Familiarity with purchasing activities, including handling purchase orders and managing materials
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities efficiently
Proficiency in navigating vendor management systems and related portals
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
Prior experience in procurement or purchasing functions is highly desirable
Knowledge of compliance regulations and risk assessment processes is a plus
