Responsibilities

Ensure the overall success of test stand design projects

Create project plans and coordinate the efforts of internal resources in order to meet project requirements for design, deliverables, budget, milestone schedules and quality

Review test procedures for the components on the equipment capability list, and construct a parameter matrix that will be used to design the hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and determine the instrumentation requirements

Design the physical layout of equipment in the test system and provide oversight of any tooling/adapters designs that are required to test the components

Provide direction to design resources to create the manufacturing drawing set, and support fabrication and assembly of equipment

Perform equipment check-out by verifying proper calibration, operation and function of all test stand systems

Conduct component data runs and demonstrate capability to the customer at factory acceptance

Occasional travel to the customer’s site to supervise installation and/or startup of the equipment

Strong foundation in PC skills; Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, databases, MRP/ERP systems (Visual ERP system knowledge a plus). CAD experience, SolidWorks preferred

U.S. person per ITAR requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent. BSME preferred

4+ years of new product development and mechanical design experience

Project Management, planning, budget and cost management experience

Driving cross-functional teams in project efforts

Communicating status of projects internally and with customers

Experience designing mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, and sizing system components
