Responsibilities
Focuses on the information systems processes for the clinical information system in Surgical Services
Coordinates and executes changes to the clinical information system
Interfaces with operations and education personnel to assess systems needs and communicates those needs to appropriate information personnel for resolution and improvements
Works closely with the Material Specialist to ensure charges are accurate
May rotate to functions in the Operation Room and will perform those duties, for which he/she has demonstrated competency
Manages invoices, performs monthly reporting, and other delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care
Qualification
Required
Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Good organizational skills and ability to work independently
Familiar with clinical information systems
Thorough knowledge of surgical procedures and implants
Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills
Appropriate judgment and problem solving skills (critical thinking)
Positive and professional communication skills
Preferred
Knowledge of purchasing systems
