Program Manager - McNair
Morehouse College is seeking a Program Manager for the McNair Scholars Program, which aims to prepare low-income, first-generation college students for doctoral studies. The Program Manager will oversee program operations, manage budgets, and provide support to students, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and program objectives.

Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations and ensure implementation of all grant-funded activities
Maintain compliance with federal regulations, program guidelines, and institutional policies
Prepare and submit annual performance reports (APR), program assessments, and other required documentation
Develop and execute recruitment strategies to identify eligible students
Monitor academic progress, research engagement, and graduate school preparation
Provide advisement, mentoring, and support services to program participants
Coordinate summer research internships and faculty-mentored research experiences
Plan and implement workshops, seminars, and graduate school application support
Organize and lead educational and cultural enrichment activities, graduate school visits, and conferences
Assist in the management and monitoring of the program budget and expenditures
Procure materials, coordinate vendor services, and ensure proper use of grant funds
Maintain accurate participant and financial records in accordance with federal regulations
Supervise part-time staff, student assistants, and peer mentors as applicable
Collaborate with faculty, departments, and external partners to enhance participant opportunities
Serve as liaison to campus offices including Financial Aid, Registrar, and Academic Advising
Maintain an updated database of participant eligibility and services provided
Participate in TRIO-related conferences, training, and professional development
Perform other duties as assigned in support of TRIO and institutional goals
Qualification
Required
Master's Degree and two years' of grant management experience with experience supporting diverse populations of students
Barriers to academic achievement unique to low-income, first generation, and minority student populations and strategies to overcome such barriers
Basic concepts and principles of research design
Academic advising of students
Personnel management
Problem solving techniques
Program development, management, and evaluation
