Responsibilities
Client Counseling: Assess client situations, provide expert advice on legal options, and develop strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes
Case Strategy Development: Identify client conflicts and formulate case strategies, including options for resolution and recommendations for effective legal actions
Legal Research and Drafting: Conduct thorough legal research and prepare essential legal documents such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
Court Representation: Represent clients in court, effectively arguing motions and advocating for their interests during legal proceedings
Document Preparation: Draft and prepare various legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards and firm procedures
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with a strong background in workers' compensation and longshore law
At least 1-2 years of prior experience working in a law firm, demonstrating the ability to handle a diverse caseload effectively
Advanced skills in legal research and document preparation, including drafting motions, pleadings, and briefs
