Responsibilities
Full ownership of all bank loan settlements based on the assigned issuers including Par/Distressed loan closing life-cycle of trades including new asset set-up, settlements, reconciliations in a high-volume environment
Interact with internal groups (Accounting, Traders, Portfolio Managers, Legal, Compliance), outside legal counsel, administrators, and custodian banks
Perform data integrity checks and reconciliations
Review legal documentation Trade Confirmation, Assignment and Assumption Agreement, Proceeds letter, Multilateral Agreement, and Funding Memos
Chase counterparties for missing wires for trade cash breaks and confirm trade tickets from internal records
Review settled cash alert reports and provide status to traders/portfolio managers
Work closely with the counterparty to coordinate all aspects of the loan process and escalate counterparty issues
Maintain and update fund details on ClearPar
Understand LSTA and LMA guidelines, syndicated loan closing, settlement, and related documentation including working with Assignment & Acceptance agreements and Purchase and Sale Agreements
Experience with settling non-USD loans and revolving commitments
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 3-7+ years of related hands-on loan closing, loan servicing, settlements, trade support, and middle office experience preferably acquired at a Credit Hedge Fund, CLO Manager or Fund Administrator
Excellent communications skills with strong Excel and technology skills desired
Knowledge of bank loan operations
Experience with structured products/leveraged loan structure CLOs, Distressed, High Yield, Leveraged Loans, Private Debt
Preferred
Experience with ClearPar, Wall Street Office (WSO), Everest/Black Mountain
Knowledge of CLO Funds / Fund Structures / Compliance
