Responsibilities

Assigned a project to work on throughout your internship time with us

Strictly adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all tasks

Conduct sampling and standardized testing of construction materials as per agency or organizational guidelines

Execute standard mathematical computations in line with testing procedures

Accurately communicate and document test results to relevant internal and external stakeholders

Record all test data post-testing in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and maintain organized hard copies of records

Document all sampling, testing, and subsequent actions taken

Analyze test outcomes and assist in making necessary process control adjustments

Ensure equipment functionality and timely calibrations as per schedule

Oversee regular equipment maintenance and ensure malfunctioning equipment is marked out of service

Uphold a professional standard of cleanliness and maintenance for all equipment, facilities, and vehicles

Engage professionally with both internal and external stakeholders

Value safety and ethics in all tasks

Undertake any other duties as assigned

Required

Currently enrolled in a University or Tech school

Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record

Enjoy working in an outdoor environment

Must be punctual and dependable

Have the ability to work varied hours with a flexible schedule

The ability to frequently lift 50+ pounds

Be capable of performing mathematical calculations required for necessary daily job duties

Strong interpersonal, organization and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment

The ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously; and the ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision, must be a self-starter
