Senior Designer

Toledo Geller is a high-end interior design firm known for creating richly layered, architecturally grounded homes. Responsibilities

Guiding multiple projects at once — from brainstorming the big idea to making sure the last throw pillow is perfectly fluffed
Setting the design direction for architectural finishes and interiors that feel both thoughtful and wow-worthy, always keeping budgets and client dreams in mind
Creating and reviewing detailed drawings — floor plans, elevations, sections, millwork, specs — and making sure everything meets our standards for beauty and buildability
Coordinating with architects, contractors, and consultants so every piece comes together seamlessly
Reviewing shop drawings and submittals so nothing slips through the cracks
Mentoring junior team members and helping keep projects on schedule and resourced just right
Leading design meetings, collaborating with partners, and keeping communication clear and positive
Presenting ideas to clients with clarity, energy, and a little sparkle
Tracking milestones and progress alongside our Studio Directors and Principals
Building strong, lasting relationships with clients, vendors, and everyone who helps make our projects sing
Navigating contracts, change orders, and project adjustments with a steady hand

Qualification

Required

Professional Degree in Interior Design
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in interior design. High-end residential design experience strongly preferred
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Studio Designer, and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong collaborator with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and departments
Highly responsible, organized, and self-motivated with exceptional time management skills
In-depth knowledge of the full design process, from concept development through project closeout
Proven project management experience, including the creation of schedules and coordination with builders to meet deadlines
Well-versed in sourcing medium-high end fabrics, furnishings, and materials
Strong aesthetic sensibility, creativity, and a consistently positive attitude
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to prioritize based on workflow to meet deadlines
Attention to detail and follow-through, a must
Reliable vehicle and ability to drive to project sites in the tri state area
Candidate must be either a U.S. citizen or have a valid employment visa to work in the U.S

Preferred

High-end residential design experience strongly preferred
Hand sketching to illustrate ideas within the studio and with clients is a huge plus
