Bookkeeper or Staff Accountant
Bailey Tax & Accounting is a family-owned accounting firm proudly serving the Vero Beach community for over 45 years. They are currently seeking a full-time Bookkeeper or Staff Accountant to join their team, where the role involves preparing and maintaining accounting records, processing payroll, and assisting clients with financial data and reporting.

Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records for small businesses
Prepare regular payroll reports and process payroll for multiple clients
File monthly and quarterly sales tax reports in compliance with Florida regulations
Perform monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
Assist in year-end closing and preparation for tax filings
Communicate directly with clients regarding financial data and reporting
Work with QuickBooks (Online/Desktop)
Support the Enrolled Agent with any additional bookkeeping or financial tasks
Qualification
Required
1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles
Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
