Responsibilities
Operate a rotary test boring rig
Drive a truck and trailer to haul the rig and equipment
Safely operating the drill rig, including soil boring and sampling
Rock coring
Measuring water levels
Installing monitoring wells
Installation of instrumentation
Basic maintenance of heavy equipment including drill rigs, medium and heavy duty trucks, trailers and ATV
Regular travel to short-term work sites throughout New England, with some overnight stays
Record observations, safety information, vehicle logs and related tasks
Operate a computer and/or tablet and smartphone, including applications and software related to job tasks
Qualification
Required
Prior experience operating a test boring rig or similar heavy equipment
Requires a current Class A CDL license and acceptable driving record
Familiarity working with and around heavy equipment and operations
Must be able to lift and carry heavy tooling and supplies up to 100 pounds and work outdoors in all seasons, temperatures, and conditions
Must be able to stand for extended periods
Position will require regular travel to short-term work sites throughout New England, with some overnight stays
Must be proficient with basic math and measurements necessary for drilling and data collection
Must be able to read and write to record observations, safety information, vehicle logs and related tasks
Must be able to operate a computer and/or tablet and smartphone, including applications and software related to job tasks
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer

Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island hoisting license
