Responsibilities
Provide robust electrical design for our custom our x-ray systems which include stand alone, cabinets, multiple axes for vaults, single-dual robotic vaults, existing vault upgrades
Design and prepare electrical drawings for integration of system components which include power distribution, safety control, axes control (rotary and linear encoders), robotic control-safety, x-ray control-safety, PLC controls (part handling, door control, safety logic) and lighting
Prepare bill of materials
Manage electrical suppliers which provide CAD electrical drawing generation and electrical panel production
Work with suppliers to make sure they provide quality inspections on critical dimensions as per drawing
Servo motion control including drive configuration and axes tuning
Calculate required customer supplied power requirements
Closely interface with manufacturing to support product assembly, testing, troubleshooting and installation
Interface with project management to ensure projects meet schedule and delivery requirements
Work on multiple concurrent projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Participate in internal system design reviews. Provide design and technical support throughout product lifecycle. Work closely with mechanical design and operations team
Customer support for electrical technical issues
Collaborate with other engineers to develop innovative solutions
Minimal travel is required for on site installation of larger vault systems
Qualification
Required
BSEE or Associate Degree
8 years' experience, able to read and implement electrical drawings for system integration
Must be a US citizen (No dual citizenship)
Must have valid driver's license and have or obtain a US passport
Excellent written and verbal English communication
Electrical CAD development (SOLIDWORKS Electrical desirable)
PLC logic control. PLC Ladder logic programming
Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Time management
Self-motivated
Continual learner
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Preferred
Servo motion knowledge desirable (i.e. servo drive, VFD drive)
Experience with industrial robots from a safety control standpoint desirable
