Timekeeping Analyst (Part-Time)
The City of New York's Department of Correction is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within the city's criminal justice system. They are seeking a Timekeeping Analyst to assist with timekeeping and customer service, ensuring compliance with laws and procedures while providing excellent support to employees.

Responsibilities
Review timekeeping documents and actions
Provide excellent customer service by troubleshooting time and leave issues submitted by uniformed and civilian employees
Post and approve transactions in CityTime, the City’s timekeeping system, in accordance with set deadlines
Coordinate with multiple facilities to receive reports and clarity on submitted time related materials
Run and review system reports on time and pay activity and adjust course as needed
Confirm new hires, transfers and separating staff reflect accurately in CityTime system
Ensure time and leave transactions in CityTime cascaded properly into the Payroll system
Assist agency staff in understanding citywide and agency rules and procedures related to timekeeping
Ensure all activity undertaken are in full compliance with applicable laws, rules, policies, standards, and protocols
Qualification
Required
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
One year of satisfactory clerical experience
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 keystrokes (20 words) per minute
Preferred
This position is also open to qualified persons with a disability who are eligible for the 55-a Program
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment
City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County
