Responsibilities

Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements and incorporate them in future designs

Lead by example and mentor others to produce extensible and maintainable code used across products

Lead efforts to ensure the correct processes are followed to achieve a high degree of security, privacy, safety, and accessibility across solutions and teams

Leverage subject-matter expertise of cross-product features with appropriate stakeholders to drive multiple groups' project plans, release plans, and work items

Maintain operations of live service as issues arise on a rotational, on-call basis

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience

5+ years of experience designing and developing high-performance systems related to database servers, networking, storage drivers or kernel operation systems

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, or Java OR equivalent experience

Specialized knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Database systems, Operating system internals, Distributed systems, Windows development

Effective problem-solving, debugging, interpersonal, and communication skills
