The Bergaila Companies is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer for direct hire in Cary, North Carolina. The selected candidate will mentor and/or manage junior and mid-level mechanical engineering staff members while also working closely with clients to deliver exceptional services in the energy sector.

Responsibilities
Lead a Mechanical Engineering team to provide advisory services and engineering design solutions for clients across all market sectors
Engage with clients, evaluating their energy needs, and develop concept-level plans and solutions; then take these through detailed design to provide for full execution
Collaborate with our client account managers and sales professionals on pursuits of strategic importance to the firm
Anticipate challenges and manage 'up and out' while supporting large teams responsible for the daily details of project delivery
Strategy formation, business development and sales
Qualification
Required
Lead a Mechanical Engineering team to provide advisory services and engineering design solutions for clients across all market sectors

Strategy formation, business development and sales
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
10+ years experience in engineering design or consulting
A Professional Engineer License (any state)
Experience with heat pump / heat recovery chillers
Prior experience with personnel management
US Citizen
This position may require travel (typically ~ 10%)
Preferred
Experience with campus utility master planning or decarbonization / climate response planning, cogeneration or combined heat and power systems and/or thermal utility plants and distribution systems (steam, hot water, chilled water)
