Responsibilities
Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications (Front-end & Back-end) that serve as the interface for our digital acoustics platforms
Audio Integration: Implement and optimize audio processing features, including real-time audio visualization, playback controls, and acoustic data reporting
System Architecture: Collaborate with our acoustics engineers to bridge the gap between low-level audio algorithms and high-level user interfaces
API Management: Build and consume RESTful or GraphQL APIs to handle complex device communication and data flow
Performance Optimization: Ensure low-latency performance for data-heavy applications involving audio streams and acoustic simulations
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of professional experience in full-stack software development
Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular) and back-end environments (e.g., Node.js, Python, or Go)
Solid understanding of Digital Acoustics or Audio Engineering (e.g., sample rates, bit depth, frequency response, or FFT)
Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and handling time-series data
Ability to work from our Chicago-area office 2–3 days per week
Preferred
Experience with Web Audio API or low-level audio libraries (C++, JUCE)
Familiarity with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) concepts
Background in the Pro-Audio, Telecommunications, or Consumer Electronics industries
