Responsibilities
Reconcile bank statements
Record daily deposits and cash transfers
Analyze, code, and prepare payables for payment
Generate monthly financial statements
Reconcile account balances monthly
Provide commentary on significant events and transactions occurring each period
Analyze financial statements for missing or incorrectly coded transactions
Prepare various quarterly, semi-annual, and annual non-financial reports
Participate in special projects, cross-functional activities, and other accounting duties as assigned
Ensures payroll is prepared and processed accurately and timely according to pay calendars
Complete applications and any requirements for new agencies
Assist with employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters
Assist with employee training of online payroll, timecard platforms, employee self-service, etc
Assist with annual audits related to benefits and Workers' Compensation insurance
Maintain documentation of all applicable processes and procedures
Qualification
Required
8+ years of accounting experience
Full-cycle accounting experience required
Utmost attention to detail required
Process oriented, double check of work
Demonstrated analytical ability and reasoning
Positive and communicative team player
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of software
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred (not required)
