Responsibilities
Navigating and advising clients on federal and state healthcare regulations, including fraud and abuse laws, the corporate practice of medicine, HIPAA, and reimbursement frameworks
Supporting transactions involving healthcare entities, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and compliance due diligence
Assisting in government investigations and defending enforcement actions, audits, and compliance reviews under Medicare/Medicaid and related programs
Qualification
Required
2–6 years of relevant experience in health law, gained at a law firm, government agency, or in-house legal department
Working knowledge of key statutes and regulatory regimes, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, HIPAA, False Claims Act, and corporate practice doctrines
Strong academic credentials and a demonstrated commitment to building a career in healthcare law
Exceptional writing, analytical, and communication skills
A collaborative spirit and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Preferred
Large law firm experience preferred
