Start in 2026 SpringThe Writer's Workout is offering a Summer Internship that focuses on reading and critiquing entries for their writing competition, The Writer's Games. Interns will engage in discussions, critique short stories, and complete various projects to support writers from around the world.

Responsibilities
Read around 10-15 short stories in multiple genres each week for six consecutive weeks
Critique every entry to encourage and educate writers
Work with the team to determine entry qualification
Score each entry on a scale of 10
Create a communications project about a writing topic. Media selection available
Complete two additional projects of your choice, including blogging, editing, education, or other
Attend weekly discussions on Fridays

Required
Support your opinion and respectfully participate in open discussion with peers
Complete a fiction writing sample that shows an understanding of the key elements of fiction in a complete short story
Send your resume and a fiction writing sample, including your name and email address in both files
