AA
2 yrs
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) at time of hire
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Sleep Disorders Specialty (SDS) required after 1 year of employment
The physical requirements of this position include regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 lbs. and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 lbs
Nightshift; Three 12-hour shifts per week (Monday – Saturday); 6:00 pm – 6:30 am
The Polysomnography Technician will be responsible for providing sleep monitoring and interventions to all patients
The primary responsibilities include: registering patients; gathering patient pre-study paperwork; preparing patients and equipment for procedures; explain procedures and interactions to patients; complete follow-up notes as needed; perform polysomnography studies and analyze data to assist in obtaining proper diagnosis; entering charges; and cleaning all study equipment. This position will also have some administrative and clerical responsibilities for the daily operations of the department
