Responsibilities

Review revenue journal entries and account reconciliations
Manage, coach, and support Senior Revenue accountants
Review sales contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition
Calculate complex revenue reserves and document reserve assessment under ASC 606
Create and analyze month-end reporting packages
Document revenue-related policies and procedures
Assess and document collectability risk due to aging WIP and AR
Analyze and understand the practices within the segment to ensure proper revenue and expense recognition and proper setup in the system
Identify process issues and implement improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency
Lead and improve month, quarter, and year-end close processes, reporting, and audits
Review and sign-off on SOX controls and trackers to ensure we are SOX compliant
Support other special projects and duties as directed by the North America Core Accounting Senior Manager

Required

5+ years of relevant Accounting experience or Big Four experience
Strong and practical working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
Working knowledge of general ledger and other accounting/reporting systems
Advanced knowledge of Excel required; Ability to organize and analyze a large volume of data
Ability to travel to FTI office(s) as needed
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
CPA or CPA candidate preferred
Experience working with both domestic and international operating units preferred
Experience working in ERP environment preferred
Strong analytical skills and self-motivation to identify and resolve problems
Proven ability to work as a team and customer service focused
Ability to work extended hours to meet deadlines when needed
Highly detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy
Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
