$10K/yr - $10K/yrRidgewood Public Schools is seeking a Summer Music Academy Director to provide leadership and operational supervision for the RCS Summer Music Academy. The role involves planning, staff recruitment, financial management, and maintaining communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Create and distribute all program publicity materials
Recruit, hire and evaluate staff
Create class schedule and implement new classes, when appropriate
Financial planning (and implementation) of program budget
Coordinate with site/location principal and custodial staff
Individually schedule students with an appropriate schedule
Individually schedule staff responsibilities and negotiate hours per enrollment
Communicate with RCS, parents, students and staff members
Plan and oversee packing and moving of equipment from district schools for the program
Maintain the RCS Summer Music Library
Maintain the RCS Summer Music Loaner Instruments and Equipment
Plan and implement performances and end-of-camp experiences
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated leadership experience in an education setting
An ability to effectively use the job-related software that is currently employed in the District
Effective time-management, problem-solving, organizational, human relations, and written and verbal communication skills
The abilities to communicate and work effectively with staff, administrators, students, parents/guardians, vendors/consultants/professionals and others in job-related areas. This includes effective public speaking skills
The abilities to function independently as appropriate, analyze a situation accurately, and adopt and implement an effective course of action
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be allowed by law and acceptable to the Board
