Field Service Engineer, Digital Radiography (MD/VA)

Responsibilities
Executes scheduled preventive maintenance and maintains documentation of all service events, tests, and corrective maintenance performed on Samsung NeuroLogica digital radiography imaging technologies
Consults and collaborates with key stakeholders to prepare for installation and deployment of Samsung NeuroLogica digital radiography imaging technologies, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, gas, pneumatics, software, networking and integration to data/information retention systems
Performs or coordinates assembly and installation of Samsung NeuroLogica digital radiography imaging technologies, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, software, networking and integration to data/information retention systems
Prepares periodic maintenance instructions for Samsung NeuroLogica digital radiography imaging technologies
Performs required safety inspection and performance assurance on Samsung NeuroLogica digital radiography imaging technologies
Assess Samsung NeuroLogica digital radiography imaging technologies for compliance with HIPAA storage and security policies
Completes documentation for entry into the centralized maintenance management system
Completes and maintains system function, configuration and support documentation
Ensures compliance with all federal/state/local rules and regulations and all applicable policies and procedures governing Samsung NeuroLogica digital radiography imaging technologies
Directly performs or schedules with Samsung NeuroLogica dealers or outside independent service vendors the performance assessment, preventive maintenance on Samsung NeuroLogica digital radiography imaging technologies and documents work performed
Review outcome of repairs, preventive maintenance actions taken by Samsung NeuroLogica dealers and independent service organizations and makes recommendations concerning changes to preventive maintenance schedules, procedures, or documentation
Analyzes and corrects malfunctions on Samsung NeuroLogica digital radiography imaging technologies. Analysis and corrective methods include but are not limited to observation of front panel and controls; interpretation of block and schematic diagrams; utilization of appropriate test equipment; replacement of components, PC boards, sub-systems and software; adjustment and restoration of network connectivity and integration to data/information retention systems; calibration and adjustment to manufacturers specifications; working with clinical and engineering personnel to correct operator based problems
Performs or coordinates remediation action on Samsung NeuroLogica digital radiography imaging technologies medical/imaging equipment safety
Performs investigative evaluation of Samsung NeuroLogica digital radiography imaging technologies involved in patient and employee incidents / accidents. Document’s findings and reports as required
Performs or coordinates the decommissioning of Samsung NeuroLogica digital radiography imaging technologies and other medical equipment per established policies
Assists, as required, with staff in-service education. Cross train new employees on use on test equipment, department procedure, and medical system support
Develops and implements a plan for professional growth
Maintains current with advancing technology, including Samsung NeuroLogica provided training as required to perform duties
Performs miscellaneous duties as directed in support of the need of the organization
Qualification
Required
Associates Degrees in Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Networking or other related discipline or equivalent experience preferred
Technical training and at least 2 years hands on experience servicing medical equipment. Experience with CT and Imaging a plus
ISO, FDA, CMDR Awareness Training and Product Complaint System, or Certification – Health Stream
Experience with mechanical devices, tools and test equipment, telecommunications systems, and working knowledge of computer networking
Must demonstrate fluent English verbal and written communication skills and work effectively in a demanding, fast paced environment
Budget, expense, and resource management experience required
Must be able to assemble facts from various areas, analyze data, and provide informed recommendations to management
You must be comfortable with technology, be able to present using a laptop computer and be able demonstrate proficiency with MS Office package, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; as well as Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome

Interaction with x-ray devices; for this reason strict safety and tracking programs are in place, requiring the utilization of dose monitoring equipment either full time or as necessitated by situation
The noise level in the work environment is occasionally very loud
Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus
