Fleet Mobile Mechanic

Amrize is a leading supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States, and they are seeking a Fleet Mobile Mechanic to support operations at their Ready Mix Plant in Chantilly, VA. The role involves proactively identifying and repairing issues with the truck fleet and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas
Practice and promote safety in such a way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools
Cleans, lubricates and performs routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles
Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems
Stays abreast of new technology and methodology through on-the-job training and technical schools
Adheres to all safety protocols to include confined space entry, energy isolation, lock-out-tag- Out, working at heights, wearing appropriate safety glasses, gloves and other personal Protective equipment, as well as all OSHA, MSHA requirements
Uses the appropriate tools for the required tasks
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of equivalent experience
CDL B licence Required
Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems
Ability to troubleshoot engine or system issues using diagnostic tools
Ability to manage repairs on-site, prioritize tasks, and complete work without direct supervision
Ability to use the DVIR Software; other job-related software as required
Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment
Ability to determine the appropriate equipment for the task at hand
Ability to monitor gauges, dials or other indicators to ensure equipment is working properly
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE")
