The role involves generating, analyzing, and integrating big data of various omics to elucidate how DNA variants affect gene expression and to contribute to precision medicine and drug development.
Higher Education
Qualification
Required
PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant field such as genomics, bioinformatics, health informatics, or translational research
Strong background in one or more areas of omics, bioinformatics, or complex diseases
Experience in generating, analyzing, and integrating big data of various omics
Ability to link environmental factors with DNA variants affecting gene expression/regulation and protein expression/modification
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and secure funding
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
Experience with NIH or NSF grant applications
Experience in teaching and mentoring graduate students
Familiarity with functional networks/modules/pathways in molecular mechanisms
Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration
