Responsibilities

Facilitate engaging group and individual training sessions focused on:
Employability and workplace readiness
Career exploration and goal setting
Personal development, accountability, and decision-making
Serve as a credible messenger and mentor, using lived experience to inspire growth, resilience, and positive change
Build strong, trusting relationships with justice-involved participants by leading with authenticity, consistency, and respect
Support participants as they navigate educational pathways, skilled trades, and employment opportunities
Encourage responsibility, follow-through, and long-term thinking while maintaining appropriate boundaries
Communicate clearly with program staff and partner organizations
Track attendance, engagement, and participant progress as required

Required

Demonstrated ability to connect with justice-involved individuals, particularly youth and young adults
Lived experience with justice involvement, street life, gun violence, or overcoming systemic barriers is highly valued
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to command a room while remaining approachable
Dependable, punctual, and consistent (15–20 hours per week)
Comfortable facilitating group discussions and providing one-on-one support
Patience, cultural awareness, emotional intelligence, and a strengths-based approach
Ability to serve as a positive role model through actions, accountability, and professionalism

Preferred

Experience in training, mentoring, coaching, workforce development, education, or community-based work preferred
