Responsibilities

Ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial books and records
Performing monthly/quarterly closing
Performing monthly GL account and process reconciliations
Assisting with customer billing and customer payment applications in the loan/lease accounting system
Overall review of loan and lease transactions
Taking part in internal/external audits
Maintaining compliance with company rules and regulations

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related major or equivalent
Working experience in financial services is required
Working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required
Strong accounting and analytical skills are required
Highly detail-oriented with an aptitude and desire to learn new products, conduct research, and display critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Excel at an advanced level is a must
M.S. Excel, Access, and Word

Preferred

MA/MS/MBA preferred
At least 3 years of accounting experience in the financial industry is preferred
Having Japanese language skills would be an added advantage
