Responsibilities
Work on single-family residential projects from inception through completion
Produce accurate, buildable AutoCAD construction documents (xref-based workflow)
Coordinate with structural, civil, MEP, landscape, and interiors consultants
Prepare and submit municipal filings with local Villages and Towns
Measure existing conditions on site
Observe construction in the field, gaining direct exposure to how drawings translate into built work
Participate in client coordination
Offer thoughtful design input when appropriate
Support general office needs; organization and reliability are essential
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3–5 years of single-family residential experience (5–10+ preferred; more is a bonus)
Strong understanding of typical residential wood-frame construction, reinforced concrete foundations, and steel integration
Ability to produce thorough, accurate construction documents and details
Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus
Strong communication and organizational skills
Local candidate with a car for site visits, meetings, and municipal hearings
Someone proactive, detail-driven, and interested in long-term growth with a small practice
Preferred
5–10+ years of single-family residential experience
Revit experience
Interior architectural detailing / interior design capability
