Senior Vice President of Business Development - Insurance

They are seeking a Senior Vice President of Business Development for the Insurance segment to lead growth initiatives through prospects, key accounts, and strategic partners within the Insurance Division.

Responsibilities

Identify potential clients and pre-qualify opportunities
Promote financial services products using consultative business development skills
Maintain knowledge of emerging financial service technologies and solutions
Execute outbound calls and use networking platforms to build partnerships
Manage strategic relationships with prospects and key accounts
Listen and address pain points with solution-driven approaches
Prepare and deliver internal and external presentations
Lead responses to RFPs/RFIs with strong written and verbal skills
Demo products during the business development cycle as appropriate
Communicate regularly with prospects, key accounts, and partners
Engage with C-suite executives and other organizational levels
Handle client issues promptly, prioritizing client needs
Document and track business development activities in CRM systems (HubSpot)
Collaborate with multiple teams to resolve prospect and customer inquiries
Produce forecasts and performance tracking metrics
Provide market insights and feedback to internal teams including Product, IT, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Marketing
Participate in Bank Secrecy/Anti-Money Laundering and other compliance training

Required

10+ years of business development and/or relationship management experience
5+ years in financial services, fintech, or payments industry
Experience in B2B and B2C business development environments
Hands-on experience with CRM software such as HubSpot
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Consultative business development approach
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills tailored to various audiences
Cultural dexterity and ability to influence beyond role or title
Ability to manage competing priorities effectively

Preferred

insurance payment knowledge preferred
SaaS sales experience preferred, including subscription or cloud-based solutions
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
