Business Development Specialist

Tru Temp is a leading provider of foodservice equipment and services, and they are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive new growth and expand their customer base. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and managing client relationships to elevate Tru Temp's presence throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities aligned with Tru Temp’s market strategy
Conduct market research to analyze trends, customer needs, and competitive activity
Develop and implement business development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers
Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients during the sales and onboarding process
Deliver high-quality presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract close
Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, customer service) to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction
Maintain accurate reporting of sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline progress in CRM systems
Work with leadership to refine value propositions and pricing strategies
Provide market insights to guide product development and strategic initiatives
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to elevate the Tru Temp brand

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5+ years of experience in business development, B2B sales, or account management
Proven track record of achieving sales goals and closing deals
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Experience in the food service, logistics, supply chain, or temperature-controlled equipment industry
Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales reporting tools
Existing network within the Phoenix or Arizona business community
