RESEARCH ASST I (Temporary/ Work Study)

The University of Michigan-Flint School of Management is seeking a research assistant to help implement an evidence-based decision making study in Winter 2026. The role involves creating digital surveys, assisting with data collection, and analyzing data under the guidance of Dr. Audrey Michal.

Responsibilities

The research assistant will work closely with Dr. Audrey Michal to implement studies online, help create digital surveys and tasks, assist with online data collection, and assist with data analysis
Generate fictional media reports about scientific studies
Create surveys using Qualtrics
Assist with analyzing open-ended response data (coding qualitative data)
Assist with analyzing quantitative data (e.g. decisions, agreement statements)

Required

The candidate must be a current undergraduate student at UM-Flint
The candidate should have a background in psychology, with a specific background knowledge in statistics (PSY 322) and research design (PSY 319)
