Off Campus Non-Profit Student Employee- Collections Assistant (WINTER WORK STUDY ONLY)
The University of Michigan-Flint School of Management is seeking a Collections Assistant for an off-campus agency. This role involves supporting projects related to the preservation and management of historic collections within the museum.

Responsibilities
Flexible schedule, approximately 8 hours per week
Supports collections care, archival and collections management projects
Documentation and data entry
Research
General Duties:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment within collection storage and workspaces
Adhere to all museum policies and procedures, particularly those related to collections security and safety
Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions as required
Perform other duties as assigned by the Collections Manager
Qualification
Required
Valid Michigan's Driver's License
Must be eligible for Work Study Winter 2026
Education: This position is designed for undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in museums
Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Ability to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions
Knowledge of museum ethical standards and best practices in collections management
Preferred
Prior experience using computers and other office equipment is recommended
