Senior Manager, Community Impact
Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC) is a nonprofit organization focused on attracting and supporting major sports and entertainment events in Los Angeles. The Senior Manager, Community Impact will oversee legacy programs, volunteer opportunities, and the implementation of a human rights action plan, ensuring positive community engagement and sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities
Assist with the execution of legacy and community engagement programming that support our key pillars for major event impact (sustainability, workforce development, Business Connect supplier diversity and youth engagement) alongside the Host Committee, LA84 Foundation / Play Equity Fund
Create and execute project management plans for community impact initiatives
Partner with stakeholders to ensure awareness of upcoming opportunities
Work with the Business Development and Government Affairs teams to draft reports and recaps of major event legacy, sustainability, workforce, and human rights deliverables
Partner with all event teams and vendors to ensure human rights and sustainability criteria are included in supplier and vendor selection
Lead the development of our Host Committee Workforce and Volunteer systems for FIFA World Cup and the Super Bowl (scheduling, communication, outfitting, feedback, etc.)
In partnership with FIFA, the NFL and future event host committees, develop reporting templates, project management systems, training documents and areas for partner integration for upcoming major events
Create programs for students to earn credit through event support at LASEC and major event programming
Serve as a subject matter expert on the FIFA World Cup Human Rights Action Plan and participate as needed, alongside our lead Advisor, on local engagement
Represent the Host Committee on all Human Rights calls / roundtables / etc
Work cross-functionally to ensure that all of the elements of the Human Rights Action Plan are fulfilled across communications, operations, etc. among various host committee functional areas
Develop annual reports, with help from the Business Development and Marketing teams, that showcase the impact of the work that has been accomplished
Develop strategies to enhance press coverage and social media content
Embed impact metrics into organizational processes and systems to ensure that impact considerations are integrated into decision-making at all levels
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
10+ years of direct experience in community engagement environment
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent of a degree through related course work, job experience or volunteer experience
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate impact goals into actionable strategies and initiatives
Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate trends and identify opportunities for impact
