Responsibilities

Apply computer science course knowledge to real-world problems

Design, implement, test, and maintain features based on projects

Follow mentoring as specified

Build monitoring and alerting tools to prevent our application from being unavailable; be part of weekly on-call rotations to resolve any infrastructure issues quickly whenever our application becomes unavailable

And yes, become a product expert and customer champion

Working experience in a similar role before

Writing website code with programming languages such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, Node.js

Fixing any website issues or bugs that arise

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in a closely related discipline

Ability to work independently and within a geographically distributed engineering team

Coding experience in any programming language

Ability to speak and write in English

Experience approaching software engineering problems systematically and independently

Ability to apply problem-solving skills to take on real-life challenges

Effective communication skills, being a proactive, self-motivated, positive attitude

Preferred

Extra points: knowledge of databases, in-memory storages, NoSQL and key-value databases, Javascript, Node.js, strong understanding of TDD, unit and automated tests
