Responsibilities

Build, integrate, and understand the complete assembly process and requirements for production instruments
Execute test instructions and perform functional and release testing on moderately complex instruments
Analyze results and data to determine pass/fail outcomes and provide solutions for failed results
Optimize system performance, precision, and functionality based on test data
Identify defects and recommend design and process improvements
Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards
Train and mentor associates on mechanical and testing procedures
Perform production activities in compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams as needed
Handle materials, raw components, and sub-assemblies for production
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and housekeeping procedures
Participate in Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing) initiatives such as Kaizen events and team meetings
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

Demonstrated capability to support testing for moderately complex instruments
Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop associates
Strong commitment to Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing practices
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple production orders efficiently
Ability to work effectively in a team environment to achieve common goals
Flexibility to manage frequent assignment changes
Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
0 years with an AA degree in Mechatronics or a related field, or 5 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting
Knowledge of mechanical tools such as torque drivers, gauges, and bits
Proficiency in reading drawings and interpreting measurements
Basic proficiency with PCs and Windows environments
Ability to analyze data, follow diagrams, and perform basic arithmetic
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Understanding of and adherence to Quality and GMP standards

Preferred

Associate degree in Mechatronics or a relevant field preferred
Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
