Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the location
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and concerns in a timely and accurate manner to Allied Universal management and site leadership
Assist with access control procedures, including verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site policies
Support Allied Universal and site leadership in maintaining a welcoming and orderly environment for all individuals within the healthcare location
Qualification
Required
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
Access control or badge experience is preferred
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
