They are seeking a Distributed Computer Systems Specialist to support their IT infrastructure by maintaining and upgrading end-user devices, implementing collaboration tools, and providing technical support.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Upgrade and maintain devices to the latest agency-approved version of Windows 11
Deploy and support Microsoft 365 applications across user devices
Provide remote and onsite support for teleworking employees using:
Microsoft Remote Assistance and Remote Help for secure, real-time troubleshooting
Microsoft Teams for chat-based support, screen sharing, and collaborative problem-solving
Create and maintain technical documentation for supported hardware and software
Reconfigure workstations for new and existing users, including hardware and software setup
Collaborate with Data Center teams to onboard new users and modify existing configurations
Research, evaluate, and test emerging technologies aligned with team goals
Assist with implementing collaboration and cloud-based tools such as Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and M365
Support mobile device and application management tools including Intune, BitLocker, and Azure Active Directory
Participate in on-call or callback rotations as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues independently or collaboratively
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Working knowledge of PC hardware, Windows operating systems, and Microsoft 365 applications
Familiarity with Microsoft Remote Assistance, Remote Help, and Teams for remote support and collaboration
Experience with mobile device management and encryption tools
Ability to evaluate data and make informed decisions
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
