Project Manager, Janitorial & Custodial Services

The Project Manager, Janitorial & Custodial Services provides operational oversight of the janitorial services contract, ensuring high-quality and compliant service delivery while managing day-to-day operations and staff performance.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day janitorial operations, supervising staff to ensure compliance with agency standards, safety requirements, and contract expectations
Develop and manage work schedules, delegating and tracking work orders
Monitor staffing needs and oversee hiring and performance management for direct and indirect reports
Work closely with Quality Assurance and Program Analysis staff to track trends, address training needs, generate quotes, and support service improvements
Manage vehicle and equipment maintenance, purchasing supplies and equipment, reviewing financials, approving payroll and timecards, documenting operational procedures, and conducting regular site visits and customer walk-throughs across multiple locations
Collaborate with internal support teams to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with all agency policies and regulatory requirements

Required

Candidates must be high school graduates
A minimum of five years of management or supervisory experience in janitorial, custodial, or a related field is required
A strong working knowledge of janitorial methods, procedures, and safety standards
Excellent communication, organizational, budgeting, and leadership skills
Ability to motivate teams and manage operations independently or collaboratively
Computer proficiency and adaptability to new technologies are essential
A valid driver's license with an insurable driving record is required
Ability to travel to multiple sites
