Recruitment Specialist
The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is looking to hire a Recruitment Specialist to support the recruitment and hiring processes across all departments and centers for staff roles. In this role, the Assistant Director is responsible for candidate communications, interview logistics, resume screening and sharing with hiring managers, and maintaining a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with HR Partners and hiring managers to ensure the seamless execution of recruiting processes
Assist in non-recruiting activities throughout the year to help support various HR processes and programs
Assist in developing and refining recruitment strategies to enhance applicant pipelines and overall applicant quality
Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and candidate experience
Post open positions on external job boards, ensuring accuracy and visibility
Assist with screening resumes and conducting initial candidate outreach
Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring teams, including virtual and in-person logistics
Communicate professionally and promptly with candidates regarding interview details, next steps, and outcomes
Support employer branding efforts through job ads, social media, and candidate outreach
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
A minimum of two years of work experience in a professional environment required
Ability to work independently with little supervision; possess a self-motivated disposition; identify opportunities for improvement and recommend effective changes, all while achieving key objectives resulting in desired outcomes required
Ability to handle multiple detailed tasks/projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines with frequent interruptions required
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and diplomatically with colleagues, as well as with students, faculty and corporate contacts in a multitude of communication methods i.e., in person, email, phone required
Preferred
Experience in human resources and/or specific recruitment experience preferred
Experience with workday or other applicant tracking systems preferred
