Responsibilities
Lead, support, and develop a team of application professionals through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
Establish and enforce application architecture principles, engineering standards, and development best practices
Maintain accountability for system reliability, data quality, scalability, and long-term maintainability
Provide senior-level problem resolution for complex or escalated technical issues
Partner with business and technology leaders to shape application strategy and prioritize roadmap initiatives
Translate business objectives into clear technical direction and executable plans
Guide release planning, change management, and production readiness to minimize operational risk
Set staffing plans, assign work, and ensure appropriate resource alignment across initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Prior hands-on experience as a software engineer before transitioning into leadership
Strong technical background with experience in modern application development stacks
Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, or comparable technologies
Working knowledge of front-end and development tooling used in enterprise environments
Solid understanding of system integration patterns, data movement, and application lifecycles
Experience operating within structured SDLC environments and collaborating across IT disciplines
Preferred
Prior responsibility leading technical teams or application-focused groups
Experience setting development standards and reviewing architecture and code quality
Background working closely with product owners or business stakeholders
Exposure to compliance, security, or governance considerations in enterprise systems
