Senior Project Manager

Amrize is seeking a Senior Project Manager at their Ravena Cement Plant in New York to oversee capital projects that enhance operational excellence and continuous improvement. This role involves planning, executing, and managing various engineering projects while ensuring quality standards, schedules, and budgets are met.

Responsibilities

Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental standards are integrated into all project activities
Manage the plant capital expenditure (CapEx) budget
Plan, develop, coordinate, and review complex engineering work within projects
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with plant management
Facilitate technical discussions with clients, suppliers, regulators, and internal teams to resolve project issues
Oversee preparation of estimates, work plans, and project execution in alignment with schedule and budget
Review bids, drawings, and staffing schedules; estimate resources required for project success
Manage contracts, coordinate project schedules, resolve disputes, and track job site quantities
Supervise subcontractors and communicate expectations, timelines, and project status
Promote a culture of safety and demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies

Required

Bachelor's degree or Undergraduate Degree
5–10 years of project management experience in heavy industry, preferably cement
Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods
Extensive knowledge of industry and regulatory codes and standards
Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Microsoft Project
Knowledge of cement plant design, engineering, commissioning, and operation
Familiarity with engineering disciplines, construction, and cement-specific process equipment
Ability to perform mass flow calculations and basic design principles
Strong communication, negotiation, and risk mitigation skills
Ability to work under pressure in a matrix organization with multi-location teams
Commitment to ethics, teamwork, and safety
Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of PPE, including respirators

Preferred

Project Management certification (e.g., PMI) is desirable
