Fives DyAG Corp is an industrial engineering group that designs and supplies machines and process equipment. They are seeking an experienced Controls Application Engineer to design PLC software programs, conduct peripheral device programming, and coordinate machine validation efforts.

Responsibilities

Design of PLC Software programs and development HMI screens to customer specifications (typically Siemens)
Conduct the peripheral device programming and machine PLC programming
Supervise and coordinate and the machine debug, power up, and machine validation with mechanical build and electrical teams
Set up and configure communication networks but not limited to device net, Ethernet and remote I/O
Commission and validation systems at the customer's location

Qualification

PLC programmingSiemens softwareControls designERP/MRP systemsCommunication skillsOrganizational skills

Required

5+ years with Controls and Electrical design is ideal
Strong PLC programming experience-ideally with Siemens software
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Prior experience working with an ERP/MRP system and creating BOMs
Ability to travel to customer sites for commissioning and installs as needed (typically 5-10%)
Valid driver's license
Strong organizational skills

Preferred

Technical degree in an electrical related field preferred (Bachelor's preferred, but will consider other degrees and experience)
Experience working for a company building custom machinery for industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical, chemical, plastics and/or electronics is preferred
