New Grad, Entry LevelAmrize North America Inc. is seeking a Production Technician to support plant operations at their Alpena Cement Plant. This role involves ensuring equipment functions properly, maintaining high-quality production standards, and promoting safety within the plant environment.

Responsibilities
Identify and correct environmental or operational issues during shift operations
Provide recommendations for troubleshooting and process improvements based on test results
Perform shift and pre-start inspections; address any safety or maintenance issues on equipment
Ensure all quality parameters meet Amrize and ASTM guidelines throughout the production process
Measure silos as needed and maintain raw material flow in hoppers, tanks, and feeders; manually remove blockages if required
Maintain cleanliness around raw material hoppers, coke tunnel, finish mill feeders, and other plant areas
Operate mobile equipment including skid loaders, forklifts, man lifts, telehandlers, vac trucks, loaders, and dozers
Work any assigned shift, including weekends and holidays
Maintain zero customer complaints and minimize fringe product throughout the process
Report hazardous conditions and follow all safe work practices
Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies, promoting a culture of safety
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Mechanical aptitude with understanding of equipment operation and inspection
Ability to multitask and perform physical duties
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Successful adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved PPE, including respirators where required (must be clean-shaven to ensure seal)
Minimal travel required
Preferred
Associate's or Technical Degree preferred
Mobile equipment operation experience preferred
