This role involves designing and building a Grant Management Solution to enhance customer success for transit agencies, while also providing leadership in developing solutions for the Division of Data and Digital Services.

Responsibilities

Designing and building a Grant Management Solution to support an entirely new Caltrans program and process

Architecting and managing Caltrans' grant-making and grant administration lifecycle, customer relationship management (CRM) architecture and workflows, customer success workflows, and case management solutions within Salesforce

Providing leadership in developing solutions in support of the Division of Data and Digital Services such as the Grants Management System

Overseeing activities supporting development/procurement of such systems, communicating the work to internal and external audiences, and facilitating solution launches

Performing duties related to the architecture, development, integration, operation, and maintenance of Salesforce implementations including user research, user-centric design, development or configuration, testing and implementation

Ensuring seamless integration with enterprise middleware solutions such as MuleSoft, API gateways, and other integration frameworks to connect with external systems, leveraging RESTful APIs, SOAP, and event-driven architecture

Required

One year of experience as an Information Technology Specialist II

Six years of information technology experience, two years of which shall include performance of highly specialized work in a lead or expert capacity on highly complex or specialized information technology systems or services in one or more of the major six domains or a closely related or emerging information technology field

A master's or doctorate degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for four years of the required general information technology experience

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for three years of the required general information technology experience

An associate's degree from an accredited college may substitute for one year of the required general information technology experience

Education must include 15 semester units (or 22.5 quarter units) of information technology or closely related course work

Experience designing and implementing CRM, Grants, or large-scale enterprise Salesforce solutions

Proficiency in Salesforce platforms (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.) and deep understanding of Salesforce architecture and data modeling

Experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, APIs and integrations; familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

Salesforce Certified Technical Architect and other relevant certifications

Experience with project management methodologies, standards, tools, change and release management processes

Strong leadership skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues and mentor junior level development teams

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including technical teams, business leaders, vendor contract resources, and end-users
