Responsibilities
Produce technical manuals for operators and maintenance personnel of specialized railroad maintenance equipment
Work with engineers, technicians, developers, and manufacturing personnel to mine information for manual content
Include setup/calibration, startup, operation, shutdown, maintenance, troubleshooting, schematics, and parts-replacement information in manuals
Qualification
Required
Must be able to work with engineers, technicians, developers, and manufacturing personnel to 'mine' information for manual content
Previous experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment is necessary to be successful
The candidate should be comfortable with many of the following technologies: hydraulics, pneumatics, diesel power, drive-trains, clutches, servo motors, HDMI screens, lead acid and lithium battery power supplies, PLCs, and so on
Must have a strong background in the use of Adobe FrameMaker (unstructured)
Working experience using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat
Familiarity or some knowledge of CMS, DITA, and XML
Adobe FrameMaker: 1 year (Required)
