Responsibilities
Perform mechanical maintenance work safely and in accordance with plant safety procedures
Inspect equipment and diagnose mechanical issues to determine appropriate corrective actions
Complete repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems
Maintain environmental control equipment such as dust collection systems
Report equipment conditions that may impact product quality or operational efficiency
Perform rigging and hoisting of heavy loads using approved tools and techniques
Lubricate bearings, gearboxes, and mechanical components
Work effectively in confined or hard-to-access areas
Support and guide other maintenance personnel as needed
Complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental compliance
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environment
Valid Mechanical Journeyman License (as required by applicable regulations)
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Willingness to work overtime and respond to emergency call-outs, including nights and weekends
Ability to safely use required personal protective equipment, with reasonable accommodations provided in accordance with applicable laws
