Responsibilities

Blocking, run cutting, vehicle assignments, schedule making, scheduling material, analyzing vehicle hours and peak vehicles for multimodal transit utilizing scheduling software
Assists with the implementation of scheduling software and software upgrades
Prioritizes and produces schedule revisions and ensures adequate running times, recoveries and break periods
Performs service delivery investigations and conducts interviews with employees related to schedules on the system and in the report areas
Prepares reports and makes recommendations to improve service delivery
Coordinates all schedule documents including Operator and vehicle assignments, schedule changes, and special event services
Prepares and maintains the scheduling database system used to coordinate timely presentation of scheduling material and documented information
Provides support to the Manager of Operations (Service Delivery) to complete special projects
Establishes and maintains a strong relationship with service units and other offices to fulfill requests, support special projects, and resolve issues
Demonstrates a commitment to safety that guides all aspects of work through consistent and professional behaviors in performance of the essential duties

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree with a major in public administration, transportation, statistics, or a closely related field required
Four years in transit operations, maintenance, schedule making, or a related support function
Two years working with scheduling software
Must possess a valid driver's license
Transit systems and operations

Transit scheduling including scheduling software and data processing related to schedule activities
Timetable development such as dwell times, running times, layover and recovery times, and coordination with other services
